The digital workflow of 3DDD's software is user-friendly in spite of the many steps involved. 3DDD imports 3D models in STL format from various files formats found on the Web, including SketchUp, MeshLab, and InDesign. After import, the user can adjust the material, dimensions, and infill density before printing. Once the file is ready to print, the converted models can be sent directly to the belt for immediate extrusion, or to a frame for printing.
This process is repeated with other.stl files, which are then sent into the Print-Center SentryFX software for a combined measurement and control. A removable support is used to balance the material's weight and allow prints to be removed by simply pulling the print from the bed. Continuous updates to materials and processes ensure that the desired quality is consistently achieved every time.
With 3DDD's proprietary PROSTAR XP resin, support removal is as simple as opening a can of soda. Printer's slide is pushed in with a cold can opener to separate the print from the build platform. After a few minutes, the scaffold is simply pulled out and placed in the curing chamber. The support material is vacuumed into the labeled canister, making cleanup is as simple as leaving a can on the floor!
3DDD offers the ability to freely change the orientation of the print model, as well as the filament diameter and the z-axis leveling of the print. Resin types can be customized by simply selecting the needed volume and refilling the canisters. 3DDD also offers impressive software to ensure that the printer is set for optimum conditions after a successful calibration.
The ability to place multiple prints in a single bin, and start up production without having to wait for a long print time is one of the most convenient features of the ProStar XP resin. The beads can be printed directly onto a flat build platform, or onto a print frame and then peeled away after the print is completed. d2c66b5586
