Freeview box re-tuning is also needed to add new channels such as ITV1+1, Channel One (a re-branded version of Virgin 1), ITV2+1, Viva, Dave, Five US, More4 and ITV4. This is done through the receiver installation menu which is normally accessed from the handset by pressing either the "setup" or "menu" button. Once the On-Screen Menu is up, an "installation" Menu option should be present, which should be selected. This is usually done with the up and down arrow keys on the handset. If a password is needed to access the installation menu (as on some Humax set top boxes) this is normally 0000 or 1234 by default.
In the installation menu an option normally exists for "Add channels > manual or automatic". Choose the automatic option, which will then search all UHF channels (DVB-T multiplexes) for new channels and install them into the EPG (Electronic Programme Guide).
If any of these channels are missing or have the wrong channel numbers assigned in your EPG, we recommend that you do a full re-installation (retuning) of your set top box, PVR and/or TV. Again an option for this should be present in the "installation" or "installer menu" of your Freeview equipment. Further help on re-tuning is available at www.tvretune.co.uk.
There are a few features that you may need to change on your Sky+HD box and the only way to do this is to access the hidden installer menu. Most commonly this is used to change the RF output, but is also commonly used for Sky rebuilds and changing the LNB settings for when the box needs to be installed in a single feed mode. This video shows you how to access the hidden installer menu on Sky+HD boxes.& Sky HD boxes. The process in very similar of old standard Sky boxes and different for Sky Q boxes.

There are all kinds of aerials available on the market and some which are specific to certain frequencies. A wideband aerial is a popular choice, although there are other aerials available. A qualified aerial installer with local knowledge will be able to advise further.
Depending on the transmitter you are using, your aerial elements will need to be mounted flat (horizontal) or on its side (vertical). A qualified aerial installer with local knowledge will be able to advise further.
We cannot recommend individual installers. However the CAI (Confederation of Aerial Industries) is a recognised trade body which will be able to put you in touch with one of their members in your area.
