The film was generally well-received at the 1988 Bandung Film Festival, where it won the following awards: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor (Puspa), and Best Script (Dwipayana). It won no awards in Jakarta, but did win the following: Best Actor (Jajang) and Best Music (Noer), which was the first time a film with a score by Jajang had ever won.[32]
