In October 2006, Minahorn released to the local media a letter she had received from Tait, which was addressed to her in the legislature. The next day, she saw Pinyan drive up with an even more disturbing video of her having sex with her own horse. Pinyan found the camera in the tree, and the photos and videos he took became the basis of the investigation. He had allegedly videotaped at least three of his friends having sex with animals at the farm; however, he was not arrested until 2012, when he was charged with a total of 76 felony counts of criminal animal abuse and 14 misdemeanor counts of evidence tampering. In December 2012, he pleaded guilty to 54 felony counts of animal abuse and six misdemeanor counts of evidence tampering.[1]
