The new 2.2.1 has a couple of fixes from the FarmVNC session to help you get started. See the details section for more information. You can find the download here:http://ansys.com/ansys/products/farm-workbench-2-2-for-farming/Cheers,Randy
Now, to run the workbench, first load the ansys working set on your host machine, using the ansyslaunch command. This will load the module on your host machine. Now you can run runwb2 from inside a VNC session on your host machine. The farmvnc client will then relay all the input and output from your host machine to your VM. The VM will run the workbench inside the VNC session.
When the file is loaded, you can either double-click on the module “ansys_solution” to open the workbench or click on the module button to open the workbench. The file is not a module, rather a package that can be loaded by the workbench. This means that you can run other packages, such as workbench and modules, in this workbench.
The MATLAB environment is based on the MathWorks MATLAB® Compiler, or MMC, which is a proprietary language developed by MathWorks to facilitate the building of applications. MMC understands the MATLAB language and various task APIs and provides efficient intermediate language compilers for compiling functions and scripts.
The MATLAB® Engine is the core of the MATLAB product. It compiles, executes, and interprets MATLAB scripts and programs, as well as runs the M-files and M-links created by the MMC. It also allows the exchange of data between MATLAB applications, the MathWorks M-files and M-links, and other programming languages, including C, C++, and Visual Basic. 827ec27edc
